Mark Masons of West Lancashire’s fantastic generosity
As a result of a very generous donation amounting to £15,000 from the Mark Masons of West Lancashire, a modified vehicle with wheelchair access was purchased for the benefit of the residents of Ecclesholme.

The official handover ceremony was conducted by the Provincial Grand Master of the Mark degree, Peter Connolly, accompanied by his wife Lynne. The Assistant Provincial Grand Master in the Mark degree, Michael Clarke, West Lancashire Mark Charity Fund chairman was also in attendance together with Provincial Wardens Giles Berkley and Peter Hegarty.

Representing the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institute were Dr John Reuther, Deputy President of the RMBI and his wife Maggie and they were accompanied by the Northern Trustee for the RMBI namely Ian Newby.

Following the address given by Peter, a dedication was then given by the Rev Graham Halsall whose wife Pauline was also in attendance.
 
Numerous members of the Association of the Friends of Ecclesholme and their wives were also there at the handover.
